HLTA National Assessment Partnership
We believe there is still a large appetite for HLTA status from schools and support staff and that the investment in supporting staff to achieve HLTA status brings significant benefits for learners and schools across all phases.
The partnership consists of representatives from one National and three Regional Providers of Assessment (RPAs): HLTA South, HLTA North, the University of Northampton, and NPAO (National Assessment Only Route), as well as co-opted professionals from the wider education community who have experience of working with and developing support staff including HLTAs.
Each assessment partner follows a nationally agreed process to provide the assessment and moderation of candidates against the HLTA Standards on behalf of HNAP underpinned by a transparent Code of Practice.
Our aims are to:
- be a national organisation working together, to ensure HLTA status is available to those working in schools who are demonstrating all HLTA standards
- maintain the national integrity and consistency of the HLTA status by working closely with Training Providers who are offering preparation for HLTA assessment courses
- apply a national assessment process subject to moderation and quality assurance to provide assessments and moderation regionally and through cross moderation nationally that are rigorous and of a high quality
